FRESHERS Magazine Draft
Above is the first draft I made for my magazine (view post below to see how we followed the conventions of a TV magazine). Once we had made this we printed it out and showed it to approximately 25 people, from this we received some feedback in order to help us improve the magazine. We were told to slightly change the banner saying 'FRESHERS THIS WEEK' in order for it to link with the programme slightly more, add at least another story down the right hand side and change the colour of the text saying 'JP'.

FRESHERS Billboard Draft
This is my first draft of the billboard, the reason I chose this style of multicoloured strips was from looking at a Glee and Ugly Betty poster (view 'analysis of billboards' post to see where my idea came from - in detail). After getting some audience feedback on this billboard I decided I needed to change the size of the banner to conform with the E4 style guide as it is to big and in slightly the wrong position.
Below is an image of some audience feedback I recieved via e-mail.

FRESHERS - Audience Feedback - Q3
Q3 - What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
I also received some feedback from a random sample of people who were in my target audience (16-20 year olds); some of the things that were said were:
"Editing nice & snappy"
"All transitions on the beat except for one which occurs in the scene with Hal"
"The sound throughout is clear"
"When Mon is speaking her voice needs to be made slightly louder for added clarity"
"Shot with Grimmers twirling the bag of drugs is a bit to long"
"Add in title cards to help string the story lines together"
"Good acting"
These are just some of the feedback that was given once the rough cut had been watched; taking a lot of this on board I then changed a number of things. Firstly, I added in title cards to help bring each storyline together and to make it much clearer for the viewer what is going on. Secondly, I shortened to clip with the drugs in and edited the sound on the scene with Mon consequently making her voice seem louder. Last of all I changed the length of one of my transitions so that it fell exactly on the beat this made the whole trailer run smoother.
Below is an image of the feedback I received from my peers:

My Demographic - FRESHERS.
This is my mood board for my soap FRESHERS. I believe the products I have chosen all relate to my primary target audience which is 16-20 year olds. These are all products that I have reflected within my actual trailer in order to create a brand and a strong image. FRESHERS will be airing on e4, this is a very appropriate channel due to the similar programs that are shown; such as, misfits and skins - both of these have near enough the same target audience as FRESHERS does therefore there mood board would be very similar.
- Social networking (technological trend) - Twitter and Facebook.
- Shops in fashion such as TOPMAN.
- Latest blackberry.
- Baseball caps.
- Fake tan and make-up - always wanting to look good.
- Red bull representing having fun and drinking.
Health & Safety FRESHERS - Drug Scene
In one of the storylines featuring Grimmers and Mon there is use of drugs on camera; due to this I made a short video showing how we used 'Migraine relief tablets' to look like a bunch of pills.
Below is an image of the final product with the tablets inside the small plastic bag, the combination of the two props made it look quite realistic.
